My house was hit by lightning and the vinyl siding was badly damaged. Florida Retrofits came out and sent me a detailed estimate with some recommendations to improve the look of my home. The communication between the office and myself on scheduling the arrival of materials and the repair crew was helpful.The job was completed to my satisfaction, exactly as quoted and maybe even a few extra touches just to make it nicer. I will be using them again shortly on another project.
We had this company install new windows throughout our entire house. Not only were they quick and efficient, but they were as personable as they were professional! Every single person that came from start to finish was friendly, kind, and honest to everyone in our family, even the dog! I couldn't speak more highly of Florida Retrofits.
I am a fussy, old man (regimented, former military). Hired FL Retrofits - next day, half a dozen VERY YOUNG men showed at my door 30-minutes early and worked until sundown for several days. I am not fond of young ones (trouble), but these guys were great in every way. They worked REALLY hard, were highly disciplined, and overly respectful. I have recommended FL Retrofits to other old friends who are equally happy with their work. They cut some huge holes into my outer walls and soffit (no attic access), but other than a huge insurance discount, and a generous, 15% military discount on materials and labor, there is no evidence they were ever here. I recently used Florida Retrofits to add hurricane straps to the roof of my pre-Andrew home and totally replace the soffit and fascia. I was very skeptical of a roofing company with a 5-star rating, but they lived up to their reputation. The quoting process was fast and easy. I worked with Kayla who was very responsive, informative and courteous. She never missed an email or phone call. The crew that performed the work was also great. They were all very personable, they did great work and they cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone.
I needed a new roof after some storm damage, and thankfully the team at Florida Retrofits were so helpful in getting this taken care of.I was given samples of shingle options, advice on energy efficiency and how they age. A day or 2 after choosing the color my roof was scheduled!The team was at my house nice and early, and immediately got to work. They covered my driveway, back patio, and the grass where there would be debris. They were respectful and as quiet as getting a roof can be. The entire roof was completed in just a few days. I'm going to start off with the *one* negative: nobody came to the house for a detailed estimate. I had wood soffit, and had the option to put the wood back up, or change to vinyl when getting hurricane clips installed. I opted for vinyl, and was provided an estimate based on linear footage, without anyone coming out. The problem is that the estimate was based on replacing the wood with vinyl *only where clips had to be installed.* In other words, vinyl would go on the eaves, the wood would remain on the gable soffit. That was presented as an issue the day they started work, but could have been prevented by an onsite estimate. That said, they were upfront regarding the change in pricing, and fast to provide the updated estimate to prevent delaying the work. I would deduct a 1/2 star for that issue at most (hence the 5 stars).End result is I have vinyl soffit everywhere, have hurricane clips everywhere, and they communicated very well with me (both the office and the team doing the work). The whole team was very professional and knowledgeable regarding building code requirements for roofing over the past couple of decades (as one might expect), took all the old soffit away, and cleaned up after themselves every day.The vinyl soffit looks great, the discount on the insurance is great, and Florida Retrofits did a great job. Highly recommend this team!
